Summer Memories – Part 3: Back Home in Beautiful BC

Hi Everyone!

Here are some tidbits about what we did closer to home during our summer concert tour.

As much fun as our trip to Alberta was, we were happy to be back in familiar surroundings.

A few days before Canada Day, we visited Port Moody for Golden Spike Days. It was an extremely hot day, but we had a fantastic audience. One of the highlights for me was that I used my brand new pedal board. I loved the way it put some reverb on my acoustic and some dirt on my electric.

As for Canada Day itself, it was double shot of fun for me and Ryleigh! First, we performed at Canada Place in Vancouver for a whole bunch of music-loving people that – like us – were oh-so-proud to be Canadian! We really felt the love at this show.

Next up, we went to our hometown of Langley for The JRBQ celebration at the Langley Events Center put on by our friends at JR-FM. Celebrating Canada Day in two of our favourite places was great. Also on stage in Langley were King & Cash, The Washboard Union and Rachel Cole. A great time was had by all!

On July 21st, we had another memorable Valley experience by performing at the BC Summer Games 365 Kickoff. We were thrilled to be asked to perform for this countdown event for the opening of the 2016 Summer Games. This will no doubt be a very exciting event for Abbotsford, which is the 2016 host. Our friend Curtis Pope from Country 107.1FM was on hand as the MC of the festivities. We can’t wait to see the Summer Games next year!

As you can see, we really enjoyed ourselves at these performances, but there were even bigger ones in store for us this summer – CBC and Sunfest!

Can’t wait to tell you about it next time!
